PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for prediction/estimation while considering a correlation between items. PSOLUTION: A formula (106) is created as a Mahalanobis distance (MD) estimation formula for reference estimation target members (xSB1/SB, ySB1/SB, ySB2/SB... ySBm/SB) (the number of elements is 1+m) that are a set consisting of a variable xSB1/SBand constants ySBj/SB, where whether the members belong to a unit space or not is unknown. A formula (107) is calculated as a relational expression that is satisfied by the variable xSB1/SBwhen the result of the formula (106) is at its minimum. The variable xSB1/SBsatisfying the formula (107) should be an estimation value xSB1/SB on the assumption that the variable xSB1/SBbelongs to the reference estimation target members.
