PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate a random number test for random number in accordance with exponential distribution acquired from a time interval in which an event is generated from the physical phenomenon, independently.;SOLUTION: This method comprises the procedures of: measuring the time interval between the first point where a predetermined condition is satisfied for independent event generated from the physical phenomenon and the second point where the predetermined condition is satisfied (2); generating random numbers of n kinds from the time interval measured with the above step, and counting the frequency of the random number generated in each time when it is generated (8); deriving a range of each random number generation frequency from the rate of the random number generation according to the theoretical statistic (6, 7); and comparing the count value with the generation frequency in each time random numbers of n kinds (11, 12); and judging the count value out of a range to be wrong random number (13, 14, 15). This makes it possible to directly perform the random number test from random number caracteristics followed by the random number generated from the physical phenomenon, thereby improving the adequacy of the test.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
