PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for testing the liquid-pressure destruction of a mesh section in a propellant tank for a spacecraft, and to provide a method therefor.;SOLUTION: The device M for testing the liquid-pressure destruction of a mesh member that is seam-welded on the opening surface of a channel member includes: a test strip holding stand 12 mounted on a base member 10, having a space 11 that enables out-of-plane deformation of the mesh member of a test strip 18; a hydraulic pressure bottom plate 13 mounted on the test strip holding stand 12, pressing around the opening of the test piece 18; a film member mounted on the hydraulic pressure bottom plate 13; a cylinder 15 that holds the rim of the film member between the hydraulic pressure bottom plate 13 and itself and is opened towards the test strip 18; and a piston 16 inserted in the cylinder 15; in which the liquid pressure in the out-of-plane direction is added to the mesh member of the test piece 18 that is held by the test strip holding stand 12 via the film member by the cylinder 15 and the piston 16.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
