PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent inconsistency of a commodity between an order reception side and an ordering side in B-to-B (Business-to-Business).;SOLUTION: This EDI (electronic data interchange) system is used for comparing commodity specification information together with a commodity code in a retrieval system of the corresponding commodity in an ordering information transmission side and a reception side. The system has a function of distinguishing and extracting the commodity having different specifications even if the commodity code is the same, has a function of comparing the commodity code input to a terminal by the ordering information transmission side and a plurality of the commodity codes stored in a terminal on the reception side, and retrieving the same commodity code, and has a function of comparing the commodity specification information of the ordering information transmission side together with the commodity code with the commodity specification information of the same commodity code stored in the reception side terminal when the same commodity code exisits, and notifying the ordering information transmission side from the reception side terminal about difference commodity specification information about the commodity having the difference commodity specification information together with the commodity code when the difference commodity specification information exists.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
