PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it cannot be judged whether the shift is caused by the clogging of the nozzle of the printing head or not when a color measurement value obtained by performing the printing and the color measurement of an image by using a printer equipped with a color measuring section shifts from an ideal value. PSOLUTION: This printing color measuring-controlling apparatus includes a nozzle inspecting means, a printing controlling means, a determining means, a carrying means, and a color measurement controlling means. In this case, the nozzle inspecting means inspects the presence/absence of the discharge of an ink from the nozzle which is installed in the printing head. The printing controlling means makes a color measurement object image printed on a printing medium conforming to specified image data when the discharge of the ink from the nozzle is judged by the nozzle inspecting means. The determining means determines the position when the color measurement object image is color-measured by the color measuring section conforming to the printing position of the color measurement object image on the printing medium. The carrying means carries the printing medium for which the printing has been completed conforming to the determined position. The color measurement controlling means acquires the color measurement value of the color measurement object image by making the color measuring section execute the color measurement conforming to the determined position.
