PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To immediately view a program from a discontinued point by transmitting the discontinued point of viewing specified by a portable television receiver during reproducing the prerecorded program in a video recording and reproducing device.;SOLUTION: This discontinued program viewing system comprises: the portable television receiver for transmitting a broadcast program judged to have viewing discontinuation and program discontinuation point specification information for specifying the discontinuation point to the video recording and reproducing device when its own operating state coincides with a predetermined prescribed condition for judging that there has been discontinuation action of television broadcast viewing, and the video recording and reproducing device for reproducing the program from the vicinity of the discontinuation point when the program specified by the received program discontinuation point specification information and the discontinuation point are recorded.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
