PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous deodorant composition which can simultaneously remove an aromatic compound and an aldehyde compound which are main VOCs, and to provide a method for producing a deodorant substrate using the same, a deodorant substrate, and a deodorant laminate. PSOLUTION: The aqueous deodorant composition comprising an aldehyde deodorant, a powdered activated carbon, and a resin binder is dissolved or dispersed in water to make the viscosity to 15,000-35,000 mPa s. Thus, the composition can easily be applied to a substrate such as nonwoven fabric and wood. The substrate with the composition applied thereto can effectively remove VOCs in the environment.
