PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed type continuous drying device, and a sealed type continuous drying/carbonizing device suppressing ignition and combustion of an object to be dried or an object to be carbonized due to contact with air in a drying/carbonizing process of the object to be dried, effectively applying a supply heating value to the object to be dried or the object to be carbonized, and capable of manufacturing inexpensive carbide with a high calorie and a high value as fuel. PSOLUTION: The sealed type continuous drying device is used singularly, wherein an input port for the object to be dried is provided in one end, a discharge port for a dried object is provided in another end, a cylindrical body is horizontally provided, with a screw conveyor inserted in an interior, and a heating means is arranged adjacently to a tube wall outer face part of the cylindrical body. Or, the sealed type continuous drying/carbonizing device is provided, wherein an input port for the object to be carbonized is provided in one end continuously connected to the discharge port for the dried object of the sealed type continuous drying device, a discharge port for a carbonized object is provided in another end, a cylindrical body is horizontally provided, with a screw conveyor inserted in an interior, and a heating means is arranged adjacently to a tube wall outer face part of the cylindrical body.
