PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a color matching for which the contraction/stretching of a printing paper is taken under consideration to be precisely performed without obstructing the speeding up of a printing process, and at the same time, to reduce the printing cost.;SOLUTION: This printing system and so forth are equipped with a database 12, a server 14, a plurality of CTP apparatus 23Aa to 23Ac, and rotary machines 27Aa to 27Ac. In this case, in the database 12, stretching/contracting information in which printing plan information and the stretching/contracting rate of a sheet of printing paper are registered is recorded. The server 14 calculates the stretching/contracting rate of the printing paper at the time of printing for each printing color from the printing plan information and the stretching/contracting information, and at the same time, transmits the data indicating the stretching/contracting rate as printing plate data together with image data for printing. The plurality of CTP apparatus 23Aa to 23Ac change the size of image drawing data for each printing color from the data indicating the stretching/contracting rate in the printing plate data after forming the image drawing data by image-processing the image data for printing, and prepare a printing plate from the image drawing data of which the size has been changed.
