PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hard disk drive, an FOD voltage control method of a hard disk drive and a recording medium with a computer program for executing the method recorded thereon.;SOLUTION: The FOD voltage control method of a hard disk drive includes; (a) a stage which detects impact on a hard disk drive with a magnetic head installed therein for recording data to a disk or reproducing data from the disk; and (b) a stage which controls an FOD voltage applied to the magnetic head to thermally expand one end of the magnetic head when the impact is detected. Accordingly, the impact on the hard disk drive is detected to reduce or remove the FOD voltage, and consequently the magnetic head and/or the disk surface are prevented from being damaged, while improving the recording and reproducing performance of the magnetic head by applying the FOD voltage to the magnetic head.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
