PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a TV broadcast receiver which enables a user to intuitively set an area code for performing time setting and can quickly perform the time setting, and to provide a time setting method.;SOLUTION: The TV broadcast receiver A is provided with a display means 8, a TV broadcasting receiving means 2 for acquiring standard time information, a database recording means 6, a clocking means 3 for calculating the current time of a prescribed area, an OSD generating means 4 for generating OSD display data, and a control means 5.
