PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the necessity to recover overlying materials and avoid the possibility of generating any leftovers even if a smooth conveyance travelling surface for an air bearing is formed.;SOLUTION: A device is provided with ice-made plate 15 in the shape of a curvature along an inner bottom part of a disposal adit 4 in a radioactive waste repository. The device is equipped with a conveyance means 11 consisting of an air bearing unit 12 which includes air bearings 12a and mounts an assembly 9 for geological disposal, a drive unit 13 and air jacks 14 laid out on both right and left side of the assembly 9 for geological disposal. The ice-made plate 15 is laid out in the longitudinal direction on the inner bottom part of the disposal adit 4, and the assembly 9 for geological disposal is conveyed to a prescribed position by the conveyance means 11 by using the upside of the ice-made plate 15 as the smooth conveyance travelling surface and is placed on the ice-made plate 15. The assembly 9 for geological disposal is fixed on the floor surface of the disposal adit 4 through the melting of ice-made plates 15 and the water deriving from ice is intimately mixed with the circumferential groundwater environment.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
