LOCATION ESTIMATION METHOD, LOCATION ESTIMATION SYSTEM, AND WIRELESS TERMINAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alleviate the problem of increasing traffic associated with the increase of the range of performing location estimation and the increase of the number of anchor terminals, and to realize a desired location estimation method, location estimation system and wireless terminal which enable a highly precise location estimation even if the reliability of information acquired from a specific anchor terminal is low.;SOLUTION: A first estimated location of a target terminal 10 is obtained based on information derived from radio signals required for the location estimation and locations of anchor terminals 20. On the basis of the first estimated location, estimated distances (Di) are determined. Expected values (Ri) are determined based on information required for the location estimation. Depending on the comparison result of the estimated distances (Di) and the expected values (Ri), one or more anchor terminals 20 are selected as non-use terminals. A second estimated location of the target terminal 10 is obtained based on information required for the location estimation derived from radio signals of the terminals other than the selected non-use terminals and the locations of two or more anchor terminals 20 other than the selected non-use terminals.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
