PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved evaluation method, as to competence to a stress corrosion cracking resistance behavior of an actual aluminum alloy material, and the aluminum alloy material excellent in stress corrosion cracking resistance evaluated by the evaluation method.;SOLUTION: An aluminum alloy material test piece of an evaluation object is subjected as a C-ring test piece loaded with a prescribed rate of stress, an anode polarization curve is measured in an aqueous solution containing 5.8 mass% of NaCl adjusted to pH 10 at 30°C, by a three-electrode method, the stress corrosion cracking resistance is evaluated in a range from 1 A/cm2 of current density to 10 A/cm2 thereof, based on an average gradient of current/potential, and a 6000 type aluminum alloy forged material is judged to be excellent in the stress corrosion cracking resistance, when the average gradient of current/potential is 350 Ω-1 M-2 or less.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
