PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image projection apparatus of a projection type for projecting an image and displaying video information that executes image distortion correction for a projected image corresponding to a positional relationship among the image projection apparatus, an image projection area, and a human figure.;SOLUTION: An image display system is provided, which includes an image projection screen and the image projection apparatus of a projection type for projecting the image and displaying the video information that uses a range finding means to measure a distance up to an object around the projection apparatus thereby grasping the positional relationship among the image projection apparatus, the image projection area, and the figure, and executes image distortion correction taking into account the position of a viewing figure.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
