PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a purification technique capable of treating waste water containing high-concentration ammonia and a high-concentration COD component to such an extent that biological treatment is impossible without dilution, and particularly simultaneously containing high-concentration ammonia nitrogen and the high-concentration COD component discharged in a latex treatment plant.;SOLUTION: The purification technique comprises: a first process of mixing the waste water containing each of the high-concentration ammonia nitrogen and the high-concentration COD component with a ferrous ion source and hydrogen peroxide to react it; a second process of mixing it with an alkaline agent after the reaction, neutralizing it, mixing it with an organic polymer flocculant after the neutralization, and carrying out flocculation treatment; a third process of carrying out solid-liquid separation of the drainage after the flocculation treatment in the second process; and a fourth process of loading treated water obtained in the third process with a chlorine ion source and carrying out electrolysis, thereby reacting a hypochlorite ion generated in an anode with an ammonium ion to further reduce ammonia and a COD component remaining in the first and the second process.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
