PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly precisely correct an error of a magnetic pole position in a linear system using a linear motor to which a sensor detecting the magnetic pole position is not fitted. PSOLUTION: In the magnetic pole position correcting method, a phase signal detected by an initial magnetic pole detection operation is acquired and a moving member 1b is moved at a prescribed speed by external force. A position where an electrical angle of the linear motor 1 becomes zero is detected from an induced voltage waveform induced in a coil of the moving member or a motor current waveform. Position data of an absolute value encoder 2 is corrected with the position as the magnetic pole position of the linear motor, and it is stored in EEPROM arranged in a signal processing part 2c.
