PROLIFERATION BANK FOR SPINY LOBSTER, AND INSTALLATION METHOD THEREFOR

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new proliferation bank for spiny lobsters, enabling post-larva and fry of the lobster to cling to the bottom safely and to settle and grow, and to provide a new installation method by which the proliferation of the spiny lobsters is promoted, using the proliferation bank. PSOLUTION: The proliferation bank for the spiny lobsters has a body part, having one or more sidewalls which extend upward in an overhung state, and which have each plurality of recessed parts, having different sizes (diameters and depths) to allow the post-larva and the fry of the lobster to change living habitat according to the growth thereof, and bored on the surfaces, and installed in a base part having a surface that is wider than that of the bottom face of the body part. Preferably, the whole or a part of the recessed parts are bored so as to be orthogonal to the surface of the side wall, and all the recessed parts in eight-stepped sizes provided by table 1 are arranged randomly so that the number of the recessed parts having sizes smaller out of all the eight-stepped recessed parts is larger than that of the recessed parts having the larger sizes per one wall. The proliferation bank is preferably installed year round in a seaweed colony or the sea bottom at a surrounding which is shallower than the water depth of 20 m. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
