PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reader/writer device for a non-contact IC card capable of efficiently reading data in a short period of time and preventing the loss of a non-contact IC card during reading the data from non-contact IC cards of a plurality of persons entering a room, and a data reading method for a non-contact IC card.;SOLUTION: The reader/writer device for a non-contact IC card includes: a reader/writer main body part installed on a wall; and a movable part provided detachably from the reader/writer main body part, wherein the movable part is provided with an antenna for transmitting/receiving data to/from a non-contact IC card in a non-contact manner, the reader/writer main body part is provided with a means for electrically being connected to an external device and a control means for controlling data to be transmitted or received by the antenna, and the movable part is connected to the reader/writer main body part through a communication line in a communicable manner, and when the movable part reads data stored in the non-contact IC card, the movable part can read data in a state in which the movable part is detached from the reader/writer main body part.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
