PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray bulb capable of preventing a discharge phenomenon and insulation breakdown resulting from generation of electrostatic charge potential, by detecting the distribution state of the charge potential and changes by the passage of time of the charge potential occurring in an insulation object.;SOLUTION: The X-ray bulb has a measuring probe to measure charge potential generated in an insulation part provided inside the X-ray bulb arranged outside of this insulation part, and is provided with a movement device to move this measuring probe along the outer face of the insulation part, and measures the charge potential generated in the insulation part by this measuring probe, and based on the charge potential measured, can adjust the voltage to be impressed on the high voltage electrode housed in the insulation part.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
