PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately distinguish an article being the closest to a reader even if articles are arranged close to each other.;SOLUTION: This article distinguishing device 21 is provided with an ID acquisition part 22 acquiring all the ID numbers readable by the reader at an optional position from sides of a plurality of radio IC tags 32 storing particular ID numbers per article 31 each and arranged regularly per a plurality of radio IC tags 32 in each article corresponding to the ID numbers and a computing part 23 and a discriminating part 24 for discriminating the article provided with the largest number of radio IC tags 32 acquiring the ID numbers among a plurality of articles 31 and specifying the discriminated article as the article closest to the reader 28.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
