PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable cone penetration testing device capable of carrying out a portable cone penetration test without requiring manual assistance and advantageous in eliminating variation of a measured result.;SOLUTION: This portable cone penetration testing device 10A is placed so that a frame 12 (a cone mounting rod 20) is orthogonal to the surface of the ground by allowing the lower ends of two side plates 1202 to abut on the surface of the ground. At this time, the tip of a cone 22 is located almost in the same position as the surface of the ground or in a position spaced slightly upward from the surface of the ground. A base machine is remote-operated to supply/discharge hydraulic pressure to a hydraulic cylinder 24 from a hydraulic pressure supply source to extend a cylinder rod 2404 to thereby extend the cylinder rod at constant speed.
