PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide rod that can be used easily at ease by everybody, has a long life cycle, and is used for traffic guide. PSOLUTION: In the internal structure of a guide rod grip section, a rotary disc integrated with a string hanging hook and having a shaft hole is formed to prevent the twisting and wear of a string attached to the guide rod, the grip end section incorporating a bearing is formed and is fitted by a shaft screw to rotate the guide rod itself horizontally, a stopper A15 is formed at the lower end of a conical coil spring 14 to prevent the conduction failure of electricity, a hole and a stopper are formed alternately at the bottom in a dry cell case 13 in a grip section 3, the rotation of the coil spring is prevented by storing the stopper of the coil spring in the hole of the dry cell case to be abutting on an adjacent stopper, horizontal pressure to a conductive plate 16 to be fitted is eliminated, the normal spring motion of the conductive plate is retained, and the continuous contact of the tip of the conductive plate and the side of a guiding light is secured, thus preventing the conduction failure of electricity.
