PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economic effect calculating device for quantatively calculating an economic effect of an operation plan for a pumped hydro power generator.;SOLUTION: The calculating device is provided with a generator-related information setting section 110 for setting generator-related information; a thermal power curve forming section 120 for forming a thermal power curve; a pumped hydro power generator operation setting section 130 for setting a water pumping designated cross section and a designated quantity of water pumping, and setting a designated cross section of pumped-storage power generation and a quantity of pumped-storage power generation; a first fuel cost calculating section 140 for calculating a first fuel cost on the basis of the thermal power curve; a thermal power curve correcting section 150 for correcting the thermal power curve depending on the water pumping designated quantity and the designated quantity of pumped-storage power generation; a second fuel cost calculating section 160 for calculating a second fuel cost on the basis of the corrected thermal power curve; and an economic effect calculating section 170 for calculating an economic effect based on the water pumping and the pumped-storage power generation on the basis of the first fuel cost and the second fuel cost calculated by the second fuel cost calculating means.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
