HOWLER SIGNAL SENDING-OUT DEVICE AND HOWLER SIGNAL OUTPUT LEVEL CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically control a howler signal to an output level matching transmission loss of a subscriber line.;SOLUTION: A transmission loss measuring circuit 11 measures the transmission loss of the subscriber line 15, and a howler signal level control circuit 13 determines a howler signal output level based upon the measurement result of the transmission loss so that a howler signal level to be applied to an analog telephone set 16 has a value that a maintenance staff sets in advance. A howler signal sending-out circuit 12 sends out the howler signal having been adjusted to the determined howler signal output level. The transmission loss measuring circuit has a means of measuring the AC voltage across reference impedance and the AC voltage between connection terminals for the subscriber line by connecting the reference impedance equal to the AC impedance of the analog telephone set to a howler signal source and the subscriber line in series.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
