PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature controller by which the deviation of a recognition position due to the deviation of the position of an image recognition device is suppressed, an operation device, a temperature controlling method, the image recognition device, a method of controlling the temperature of the image recognition device and a unit assembling device.;SOLUTION: The temperature controller is mounted and used in an environment where atmospheric temperature is regulated to control the temperature of device units forming the operation device for carrying out a prescribed operation and is provided with a gas temperature control part for controlling the temperature of a gas used as a temperature controlling medium in the temperature controller to a temperature nearly equal to a temperature set as a regulated temperature of the atmosphere around the operation device.
