Color ink includes at least a liquid medium, a polyvalent metallic salt, material selected from a cryptand, and a liquid medium, a polyvalent metallic salt, and material selected from the cryptand. The ink set for the ink jet recording comprises a color material and a liquid medium and is combined with at least black ink reacting with the color ink by the contact with the color ink.
