PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform earthquake determination, warning, notification, or the like in a network by using portable terminals to constitute a network for earthquake observation.;SOLUTION: Respective portable telephones 1 to 5 constituting an earthquake observation local network 7 observe vibrations of a main body by a vibration sensor attached to the main body in each room 11 to 14 when a set time zone arrives. The respective portable telephones 1 to 5 determine that vibrations are generated by an earthquake when the number of portable telephone main bodies detecting the vibrations exceeds a threshold according to a communication result among the respective portable telephones. The respective portable telephones 1 to 5 perform a warning operation and a preset emergency stop operation to an information household control system 6 according to a determination result being the vibrations caused by an earthquake.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
