PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for livestock drinking water, which improves energy metabolism of livestock in hot environment in summer, prevents a decrease in renal function and liver function, a decrease in weight and decrease in appetite or the like, further brings economical effects, and is excellent in palatability, to provide livestock drinking water using the composition, and to provide a method for breeding livestock for supplying livestock drinking water to the livestock. PSOLUTION: The livestock drinking water having an osmotic pressure of 200 mOsm/kg*HSB2/SB0 is prepared by dissolving the composition for livestock drinking water containing citric acid, glucose, zinc sulfate, potassium chloride, salt, potassium iodide, vitamin BSB1/SB, vitamin BSB6/SB, nicotinic acid and pantothenic acid, in water so as to be supplied to the livestock especially in hot environment in summer.
