PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a black pigment having ability to reflect infrared light, in which a harmful element is not contained and from which heat shielding paint having excellent infrared reflection property can be obtained. PSOLUTION: The black pigment having the ability to reflect infrared light is composed of a compound oxide containing Fe, Co, Al and further one or more metals selected from Li, Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Ti, Mn, Zn, Sn, Zr, Si and Cu and has 0.02-5.0 m average particle size. The average reflectance in the visible light region wavelength of 380-780 nm is 10% and that in the infrared light region wavelength of 780-2,500 nm is 30%. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
