PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hat type steel sheet pile advantageous in respect of efficiency in area, obtaining necessary performance in area although the height of one sheet pile is restrained to be rolled by an ordinary manufacturing equipment such as a shape steel mill for rolling a H-shape steel, and substituting a U-shape sheet pile 4W.;SOLUTION: This hat type steel sheet pile has bilaterally asymmetric joint parts 4 at both ends, a center part formed with a web 1 and flanges 2 on both sides thereof into a U-shape. and arm parts 3 supporting the joint parts provided outside thereof. In the hat type steel sheet pile, the total height is 345 mm or less, the effective width is 840 mm or more, the second moment of area is about 45000 cm⁴/m, the center 5 of figure is located substantially half of the total height, the joint engagement center extension line 7 is positioned within the range of thickness of the arm part, and a projection 6 for horizontally keeping the right and left of an inverted U-shaped attitude is provided on the outward claw side of the joint part.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
