PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor and a shearing force measuring device that are thin and light in weight and can easily measure a shearing force while it is clipped between a body (or via clothes) and bedding or the like because bedsore occurring on patients lying down on the bedding or the like for a long time is related to the shearing force occurring on the contact surface between the skin surface and the surface of the bedding or the like.;SOLUTION: A piezoelectric film having electrodes formed on back surfaces of both ends is wound on the outer periphery of a plate-like member so as to form a U-shape on a side surface of the member, the ends having the electrode of the film are separated from each other and are fixed to one surface of the plate-like member, a facing member is fixed to the piezoelectric film, and similarly a pressing member is fixed to the other surface. When this sensor is used in the state where it is clipped between the patient's body and the bedding or the like, the facing member in contact with the body and the pressing member in contact with the bedding or the like transmit the shearing force as the variation of the tension of the piezoelectric film. Therefore, the shearing force can be measured by measuring the difference between charges occurring on front and back sides of the piezoelectric film.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
