PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the rocking angle of a mirror part and expand a scanning angle of an optical scanning element which has a mirror part to reflect light and a mirror supporting part which supports the mirror part and works as the rocking axis of the mirror part, rocks the mirror part by giving external force and scans the reflected light of the light which is made incident to the mirror part. PSOLUTION: The scanning element has: a first member having a mirror part having a reflection face, a mirror supporting part connected to the mirror part, and a frame part which is connected to the mirror supporting part and generates a torsional dislocation on the mirror supporting part by oscillation; a second member which fixes and holds the frame part of the first member; and a fixing part which is fixed on the frame part, composed of a piezoelectric body which transmits the oscillation to the frame part which is located at the beam part and both ends of the beam part, wherein the mirror supporting part is connected at the connecting part of the beam part, the piezoelectric body is extended toward the connected part of the fixing part and the beam part as far as a position not exceeding the connecting point, and fixed on both of the beam part and the fixing part.
