PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PC card controller capable of recognizing a new kind of expansion card.;SOLUTION: The PC card controller has: an acquisition part which acquires identification information of a connection card by technique based on specifications; a first recording part which records card information and identification information of one or more kinds of PC cards based on the specifications; a second recording part which records card information and identification information of one or more kinds of expansion cards not based on the specifications; a PC card identification part which identifies a kind of a connected card from the identification information of the connected card and identification information at least recorded in the second recording part among pieces of identification information in first and second recording to output identification results and outputs card information of the connected card and a signal conversion part which establishes a line for communicating signals with the connected card in a form based on the specifications based on the identification results.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
