PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency in fetching data to a recording device of a random access system from an already edited tape.;SOLUTION: The system is provided with a storage means 9 storing a TC (time code) at the top of the content of the already edited tape, an operating means 5 indicating to fetch data to the recording device 2 of the random access system from the already edited tape, and control means 5, 12 controlling reproducing devices 14, 15 reproducing the already edited tape and the recording device 2, when a value of a time in the TC read from the already edited tape coincides with a value of a time in the TC at the top of the content on the storing means 9 or a value of one hour ago, the control means 5 and 12 control the reproducing devices 14, 15 to start reproduction by queuing up at a position of the TC value obtained by subtracting extra cut and pre-roll time from the TC value at the top of the content in the storing means 9 in accordance with operation of the operating means 5, and control the recording device 2 to record reproduction data after the head of the extra cut.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
