PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective tool of a forming die which can safely and efficiently protect the forming die.;SOLUTION: A protective tool 18 has a supporting base 22 in which an exclusive unit 1 with a fixed side insert and a movable side insert integrated with each other is held between a pair of supporting surfaces 21a and 21b facing each other. The supporting base 22 is turnable around the axis orthogonal to the supporting surfaces 21a and 21b and substantially parallel to the mating surface of the fixed side insert and the movable side insert, and can be positioned around the axis. The forming die can safely and efficiently be protected by the protective tool 18 constituted therefor.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
