PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooperative diversity communication method to be applied to a multi-hop communication system for achieving synchronous reception at transmission destination nodes (mobile station and/or base station). PSOLUTION: A cooperative diversity communication method according to the present invention includes the steps of: at a base station, acquiring transmission delay from a first relay node to a mobile station in a downward direction; calculating a transmission delay adjustment value of the first relay node on the basis of the transmission delay and notifying the first relay node thereof; and at the first relay node, receiving a packet utilizing a communication path and transmitting it to the mobile station using STBC after waiting a first waiting time slot number and further waiting the transmission delay adjustment value, wherein the first waiting time slot number is a sum adding "1" to a difference between a maximum value of the number of hops until the packet reaches the first relay node from the second relay node in all communication paths and the number of hops until the packet reaches the first relay node from the second relay node in the communication path.
