PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide precipitation hardening stainless steel for cold working having excellent machinability.;SOLUTION: The precipitation hardening stainless steel for cold working having excellent machinability has a composition containing, by mass, ≤0.030% C, ≤1.0% Si, ≤0.4% Mn, 0.010 to 0.050% S, ≤0.025% N, 3.0 to 7.0% Ni, 13.0 to 18.0% Cr, 1.0 to 5.0% Cu, 0.05 to 0.25% Ti, and 0.10 to 0.40% Nb; wherein, if Tieq=Ti+0.52 Nb and Ceq=C+0.86N, Ceq is ≤0.050, and (Tieq-4Ceq)/S=2 to 7 are satisfied (1), and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
