PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a new password by adding an arbitrary code string from previously registered code strings to a predetermined position of the present password based on a preset new password generation rule whenever the number of error inputs of a password reaches a predetermined value. PSOLUTION: When the number of permissible error inputs reaches the predetermined number in response to an input request of a k-th password (k is a positive integer that is 1 or more and less than m), an arbitrary code string is added to a predetermined position of the k-th password from previously registered code strings according to the new password production rule, a (k+1)-th password whose code length is longer than that of the k-th password is generated and used as a new password. This is repeated until k becomes m. When the number of error inputs reaches the predetermined number in response to an input request of m-th password, it is determined that the access request aims at unauthorized access, and further input of a password is refused.
