PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a human arm type robot having five fingers and handling heavy load at a working site.;SOLUTION: This powerful 5-finger robot arm is controlled by a master-slave method and is effectively used mounted on an optional pedestal or a carriage suited for working contents. This mode has just a low necessity to reduce the weight of the powerful 5-finger robot arm for preventing the center of gravity from being elevated in bipedal locomotion. The main power source of this powerful 5-finger robot arm is an active actuator (the arm) using the art of the active suspension (leg) for the arm part.
