PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic seal impression system and method for preventing the counterfeiting or unauthorized use of seal impression to be sealed on a document or the like by confirming the owner of seal impression by using information which corresponds to the owner.;SOLUTION: This electronic seal impression system comprises electronic seal impression 10, electronic seal impression issuing device 20 and electronic seal impression authenticating device 30. The electronic seal impression issuing device 20 and the electronic seal impression authenticating device 30 are connected through a communication network 60. Also, an authenticating station 40 for issuing a key certificate(electronic certificate) for proving that a public key issued so as to correspond to the owner of the electronic seal impression 10 is belonging to the owner, is connected to the communication network 60.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
