PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulse sequence control apparatus wherein the capacity of a sequence execution memory is less than the capacity required to record pulse sequence codes by one measuring period so as to improve the time resolution of the pulse sequence and to provide a nuclear magnetic resonance apparatus using the pulse sequence control apparatus. PSOLUTION: The pulse sequences are classified into a plurality of kinds on the basis of characteristics of pulses, and segment memories 63, 621 to 62m store characteristic data of unit pulses of respective kinds. A read section 67 reads the data from each segment memory to generate the pulse sequence on the basis of schedules stored in a read schedule memory 61 and outputs the pulse sequences to a channel circuit 7.
