PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the operation state by making loads constant in a pump for transporting a bottom ash slurry in a coal burning boiler furnace and liberalize the requisite specification of the pump to reduce the cost thereof.;SOLUTION: In a slurry pump 5 for mixing a furnace bottom ash slurry accumulated on a clinker hopper 1 attached to a coal burning boiler with diluted water and then transporting the slurry, the flow amount of diluted water is adjusted with a flow amount adjusting valve 17 so that the pressure measured with a pressure transmitter 18 provided in the downstream position of suction side piping 12 of the slurry pump is a predetermined value, thereby making the slurry concentration in the slurry pump 5 constant.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
