PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating thermal comfort for each type of glass panes that can easily acquire a PMV (Predicted Mean Vote) value around a window glass by developing a tool capable of easily evaluating influence on indoor thermal comfort based on building regions, seasons, times, opening orientations and opening glass pane structures with the use of an existing PMV index and by statistically processing the results, and a glass pane selection method using the evaluation method.;SOLUTION: A glass temperature, a room temperature, a floor temperature and a ceiling temperature are calculated from single representative value to easily calculate a PMV value specific to a vicinity of a glass pane, without dividing a glass surface into many areas to create a temperature distribution, dividing a floor surface and a ceiling surface into many areas to create temperature distributions or dividing an entire indoor space into many small spaces to calculate PMV values of the small spaces. Relative influence of the grass structure on thermal comfort of the windows can be found by comparison.
