PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert a table expressed by a CAD data into a table calculation type table data.;SOLUTION: A CAD device receives the setting of an area with the table formed by the CAD data, and sets ruled lines corresponding to horizontal-directional and vertical-directional straight lines existing in the area on the table calculation type table data. The CAD device recognizes the correspondence between a rectangular area on the CAD data and a cell on the table data, based on the correspondence between a line element and the ruled line. The CAD device sets a character data corresponding to a character element arranged in the rectangular area on the CAD data. The CAD device couples the cells when the plurality of cells corresponds to the single rectangular area, or allocates or likely the cell when the plurality of character data is set in the single cell, and the ruled line is regulated therein to bring the table data into a proper form.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
