PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly correct offset occurring due to the difference between reflection coefficients at a main beam irradiation section and that at a side beam irradiation section without normalizing an MPP signal (main beam push-pull signal) and an SPP signal (side beam push pull signal) individually, in a TE signal (tracking error signal) of a DPP system (differential push-pull).;SOLUTION: An analog signal processing part 40 generates the MPP signal, an MPI signal (main beam pull-in signal), the SPP signal and an SPI signal (side beam pull-in signal) based on the amount of photodetected reflected lights of the main beam and the side beam detected by a photodetection part 130, generates the TE signal of the DPP system and a CE signal (center error signal) based on the MPP and/or SPP signal, and outputs analog signals of the TE, CE, MPI and SPI signals. A digital signal processing part 50 calculates the TE, CE, MPI and SPI signals converted to digital signals by an A/D conversion part 52 according to a prescribed operation expression to generate the TE signal where the offset occurring due to the fluctuation of the reflection coefficients at the main beam irradiation section and/or that at the side beam irradiation section to the optical disk is corrected.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
