PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set the automatic lock of a portable terminal taking the life pattern of a user into consideration.;SOLUTION: A relating external terminal 20 is registered beforehand in the portable terminal 10 for each detection time, the portable terminal 10 detects the external terminal 20 existing around by short distance wireless communication when the detection time comes, and the portable terminal 10 collates whether or not the detected external terminal 20 and the external terminal 20 registered corresponding to the detection time match. In the case that the matching external terminal 20 is not detected, the portable terminal 10 detects the external terminal 20 existing around by the short distance wireless communication at a prescribed time interval. In the case that the matching external terminal 20 is not detected even when detection is repeated for a prescribed number of times, the portable terminal 10 sets its own terminal to a lock state.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
