PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dangerous substance storage tank having an explosion release structure while leaving advantageous characteristics of a cylindrical tank.;SOLUTION: The horizontal tank for storing dangerous substances has an explosion release structure which has a cross-sectionally U-shaped body 2 and in which each joint of a top plate 4 with top angles at an upper part of the body 2 and at an upper part of each U-shaped straight plate 3 is made weaker than other joints of the tank. By this method, the tank can be constructed in the explosion release structure having a relatively small capacity, easy to draw out drain as compared with a vertical cylindrical tank, also having less corrosion of a bottom plate, and causing no detriment to characteristics, such as inexpensiveness, which a conventional cylindrical tank has.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
