PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce management cost and to reduce manufacture cost of cards by realizing power source control between a higher-order device and a storage by the protocol on the interface used to data access, and by connecting the higher-order device with the storage not using card for exclusive use of conventional power source linked control. PSOLUTION: A host computer 1A transfers power supply cutting instruction and the next feeding power beginning time to a storage device 10 when the host computer performs power supply cutting by shut down. The storage device 10 ends postprocessing necessary for power supply cutting when the storage device judges that there is no access from the host computer for a certain time period after receiving power supply cutting instruction from the host computer 1A, and sets the next feeding power beginning time to a timer (a timer of a clock and timer part 14). After completing the setting, the storage device performs feeding power stopping control from a storage device power supply 11.
