PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the movement and excessive ventilation of dirty indoor air between an upper layer story and a lower layer story; and to always reduce electric power consumption in ventilation by controlling an air flow by temperature difference ventilation by adjusting air supply quantity and air exhaust quantity by mechanical ventilation of a class 1 ventilation system in a two-story house. PSOLUTION: Driving of air supply-exhaust fans 1 to 4 in the first floor and the second floor is controlled, so as to substantially equalize the total air supply quantity of totaling the air supply quantity and inflow quantity by the air supply fan in one of the first floor and the second floor, and the air exhaust quantity by the air exhaust fan in one of the first floor and the second floor, and so as to substantially equalize the total air exhaust quantity of totaling the air exhaust quantity and outflow quantity by the air exhaust fan in the other of the first floor and the second floor, and the air supply quantity by the air supply fan in the other of the first floor and second floor, by determining the inflow quantity of outside air to the inside of a room by the temperature difference ventilation in one of the first floor and the second floor, and the outflow quantity of indoor air to the outdoors by the temperature difference ventilation in the other of the first floor and the second floor, on the basis of a difference between the indoor-outdoor air temperatures detected by an outdoor temperature sensor 5 and an indoor temperature sensor 6.
